Norwood High School Athletic Department

Fall sports registration is due between 8/1-8/4.  V/JV football will begin on Friday 8/18. Freshman football will begin on 8/21.  All other fall sports are eligible to start on Thursday 8/24.  Please sign up online by clicking the fall sports registration tab.

Please turn in hard copies of the following registration forms:

1. Permission Form (two sided): Including concussion course sign off.

2. User Fee: User fee is $200 per season with a family cap of $800 for the school year.  Please include a check with the students name and sport on the memo line.  Please make checks out to The Town of Norwood (checks deposited upon receipt).

3. Updated Physical: All physicals must be updated with the athletic department every 13 months.  Phyisicals must be updated throughout each season of participation.  If the physical on file with the athletic department is not up to date the student athlete will not be eligible for participation.

4. Pre Participation Head Injury Form.

The athletic department will be hosting a fall sports information night including an introduction to NHS athletics for incoming 9th grade students and their parents on Monday 6/12/17 at 7pm in the auditorium at NHS.  All students and parents that are interested in fall sports are highly encouraged to attend.  The athletic director will review athletic department protocols and fall sports coaches will be available to discuss sport specific information.

The athletic department will be hosting a community forum on Monday 6/12/17 at 6pm in the auditorium at NHS. Current and possible future league affiliations will be discussed.

The spring varsity sports awards night sponsored by the NHS athletic booster club will be held on Tuesday 6/6.  The evening will begin at 6pm with pizza and refreshments for athletes in the dining hall followed by the awards presentation in the auditorium at 6:30pm.
